We’re just a week away from electing our first female commander in chief (maybe) so it’s only right that a socio-political Hip-Hop icon like Common releases his latest album, Black American Again, this Friday.

Today the Chicago rapper stopped by The Breakfast Club to speak politics with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God and broke down what he sees in both presidential candidates, staying friends with his famous ex-girlfriends, and building with President Barack Obama in the White House.

Not bad for a kid from the Southside of Chicago.
