Prison Reform has been a cause near and dear to Pusha T’s heart and the Virginia rapper continues to advocate for the issue in a recently released Public Service Announcement.

In the 3-minute PSAm the G.O.O.D Music artist recites the account of Norman Brown, a man who spent 25 years in prison for a non-violent offense and whose experiences would make mice of men or men out of boys.

“If you put your food in a locker, the mice would get it before you could eat. There were people who would scream at themselves.” He continued, “I began to take classes. Then I began to teach classes on anger management and empowerment.”

After applying for clemency in 2015, Brown was granted his wish by President Obama which is why he’s able to speak his story through Pusha T.

Though he’s been a hustler and rapper for most of his life, Pusha’s been getting involved in the political scene as of late including another PSA for marijuana legalization in California and even joining forces with Hillary Clinton during her presidential run to encourage voter registration (we all saw how that turned out though).

Check out his latest PSA below.
