United Airlines is catching all the slander, once again, on these Internets, and deservedly so. The backlash comes after footage of a passenger being violently dragged off an overbook flight went viral.
Reportedly, United overbook a flight, and when there were no volunteers willing to get off the flight, people were chosen at random. The passenger refused to get off, and then was dragged off for his trouble—which was of course captured on cell phone footage.
Needless to say, people were appalled and the footage quickly made the rounds on the Internet.
United offered a deplorable apology/explanation, and it only made things worse.

The passenger who suffered through this indignation—he is reportedly a doctor and refused to get off because he had patients to see the next morning—is about to get paid.
And now Twitter is going in.
