As LeBron James gets ready to play in his seventh straight NBA Finals, some idiot is trying to distract him with some good old fashioned racism.
LeBron’s Los Angeles property was vandalized early Wednesday morning when someone spraypainted the n-word on a gate.
TMZ reports:
Multiple LAPD units and a neighborhood patrol vehicle responded to the home early Wednesday morning. We’re told the word was scrawled on the outer gate.
We’re told investigators are looking for security footage from neighbors which may show the perpetrator.
Records show LeBron bought the house back in 2015 but it does not appear he lives there on any regular basis.
The graffiti has since been covered up.
LeBron is in Oakland right now preparing to face off against the Golden State Warriors and begin defense of his NBA Championship. LeBron is known for going into “zero dark 30” mode during the Playoffs where he doesn’t engage in social media and cuts himself off from the rest of the world. But, you can expect for reporters to ask him what he thinks about this in pre and post game interviews.
