Today, Donald Trump announced that he would be withdrawing the United States from the Paris Climate Accord. Most of the world’s leaders, and citizens, with common sense, blasted Cheeto, including Barack Obama.
Agent Double Obama didn’t even name 45 in his statement, so the shade was real.
Reports Politico:
Obama, who has refrained from commenting on his successor’s every action in office, did not name Trump in his statement, but nonetheless made clear that he believes Trump’s plan to exit the 2015 agreement will hurt America, economically and otherwise.
“The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created,” Obama said. “I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.”
Obama also mentioned that it was American leadership that helped put the Paris Accord in place. Now, Cheeto is doing his best to move the nation backward, while being tone deaf in the process.
‘I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris,” said Trump today when announcing his decision.
However, Pittsburgh’s mayor basically told him to kick rocks. “The city of Pittsburgh voted for Hillary Clinton with nearly 80% of the vote,” Mayor Bill Peduto told CNN. “He may be talking about all of western Pennsylvania, but it’s a far cry from being Pittsburgh.”
The only countries not in on the agreement, besides the US, are Nicaragua and Syria.
