It took three years to get here, but SZA‘s official debut album CTRL finally dropped.

After dropping projects three years in a row between 2012 and 2014, SZA‘s output seemed to come to a complete halt when she signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. Of course the St. Louis-born, New Jersey-raised artist grew frustrated with not releasing music as she was accustomed to, especially with a new set of fans demanding material. So much that she threatened that she was quitting music altogether. To give you an idea of how long it took for SZA’s album to drop, Kendrick Lamar released three projects, Ab-Soul dropped two albums, Isiah Rashad and Schoolboy Q both put out their sophomore albums and even TDE newcomer Lance
