Nick Gordon landed back in the news headlines after he was arrested over the weekend for domestic battery. The legal matter is now being considering as evidence in the ongoing investigation into the death of Gordon’s former partner, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
The New York Daily News writes:
Gordon was arrested in Florida on Saturday for allegedly beating his current girlfriend, Laura Leal — and the Fulton County District Attorney says he’ll consider the new charges as part of the probe into Brown’s drug-related death, TMZ first reported.
“It goes without saying that the arrest of Nick Gordon in the Florida domestic violence case will certainly add an additional layer of evidence to the final resolution of this matter,” the DA said in a statement.
Brown, who was 22, was discovered face down and unresponsive in a bathtub filled with water in her Georgia home in January 2015. She remained in a coma for six months until her death that July.
TMZ adds that Gordon is considered as a person of interest, although there aren’t any official charges reported.
