XXL Magazine has revealed their annual Freshman Cover and dubbed it “Generation Next.”
Each year, XXL’s Freshman cover gets more diverse in style and younger in age. This year’s bunch is made up of Kamaiyah, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, PnB Rock, Madeintyo, Playboi Carti, Aminé, Kap G, [formerly Super Duper] Kyle, Ugly God and recent knockout victim XXXTentacion.
While the list hasn’t generated as much debate in past years [yet], some are already calling attention to artists they felt were snubbed. Among them are Tee Grizzly, Famous Dex and Montana of 300.
