Charles Barkley has turned in a round mound and he’s looking to rebound back into shape.

Barkley‘s weight has been the butt of many jokes over the last 15 years, especially on his show NBA On TNT. But now he’s ready to shed some of the weight he’s put on since his NBA playing days ended.

“Listen, I am embarrassed about how fat I have become,” said the former NBA All-Star during last Friday’s NBA Finals game. “I’ve become lazy. Number one, I’m not healthy. I’m not healthy. Y’all not going to see me. I’ve got to come back for the [NBA] awards show. But I’m taking the next six weeks to get my fat ass in shape.”

Barkley’s current weight is unknown, but anyone that has seen him in person knows that he’s gotten much heavier. USA Today reported that Barkley was warned about his weight back in 2011 by a doctor, telling him that if he didn’t lose weight, he would be at risk for diabetes or a stroke. Barkley would later become proactive by becoming a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.

The “fat farm” Barkley is going to is in San Antonio, Texas. Wish him luck.
