NEW YORK – 1987: Rappers Eric B & Rakim pose for a portrait session in 1987 in New York, New York. (Photo by Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images)

Dust off those Kangols and pull out the adidas with the fat laces because Eric B and Rakim are throwing their first concert in two decades and you better look fresh if you going to be in their presence.

With the success of the Bad Boy Reunion tour and announcement of the upcoming Ruff Ryders Reunion tour, Eric B and Rakim decided it was time to make their move and yesterday (June 22) called into Hot 97 to announce a special reunion concert to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their timeless debut album, Paid In Full. Feel like a senior citizen yet?

This would be the first time that the legendary DJ and MC duo would perform together in 20 years (reaching for that cane yet?) and they are reuniting on July 7 at Harlem’s Apollo Theater no less.

On a more somber note, the duo took the time to remember Prodigy (Rest In Power, thunn) with the R paying his respects saying that P “brought the hood to the booth” and Eric B detailing how Prodigy thugged through his illness the day of his passing to take pictures with his fans.

Check out the announcement below.
