Maia Campbell recently landed in the news after a video surfaced of the actress asking for drugs in just her underwear at a Stone Mountain, Georgia gas station. Her former In The House co-star, LL Cool J, made a public call to reach out to Campbell, but the offer for help was sidestepped.

The veteran Queens rapper and actor reached out via his social media accounts asking his followers if any of them knew a contact number for Campbell. After some robust discussion on his account, LL posted a simple “Thank You” photo for those attempting to help him find Campbell and offer some assistance to her. He also posted a tweet condemning the person who filmed Campbell in the most recent footage of her apparent relapse into drugs.

Campbell posted a response via video from inside a barber shop she apparently works. The 40-year-old actress and a co-worker filmed a short cellphone video in where she explained she’s not in any dire need.

“Hey, Todd. Well, I love you. I don’t need help. I need a benefit concert for mental health. Don’t TMZ me. It’s really me,” Campbell said. “We’re good. I’m doing property. I have investments. And my show is called, ‘From The Bottom Up’ season 2.”

Towards the end, Campbell looks flustered as her co-worker egged her on to respond to LL’s inquiry.

“Don’t call me, I’ll call you,” said a visibly troubled Campbell before saying LL has her mother’s number and can find her that way while also announcing a Yahoo email address.

As reported by Straight From The A, rapper T-Hood filmed Campbell and was unapologetic for putting her on blast.
