How many chances is Allen Iverson going to get? The NBA Hall of Famer was AWOL from his BIG3 game in Dallas this past weekend and has apologized to Ice Cube for his absence.

On Sunday (July 30), the BIG3 issued a statement basically saying they had no idea where AI was, but they were looking into it.

“Allen Iverson did not show up to today’s BIG3 week 6 game in Dallas as expected,” read the statement. “We had no advance warning and do not have information as to all the circumstances surrounding his absence. The league is launching an investigation to gather all the facts and then will make an informed, official statement.”

So far there are still no details, but Iverson revealed that he apologized to Ice Cube, one of the league’s founders.

“First and foremost, I apologize to Ice Cube & my BIG3 family, my fans and everyone disappointed by my absence in Dallas this past weekend,” read AI’s statement, which he shared on social media.

He added, “I have spoken with Ice Cube directly regarding the details of my absence. I will do my best to make up for this moving forward on the Big 3 tour.”

The speculation is that The Answer was on a gambling bender since he had reportedly been spotted at a Chicago casino playing roulette hours before he was supposed to be in Dallas.

C’mon son.

UPDATE: Allen Iverson has been suspended 1 game by the Big3. The struggle is real.
