Game of Thrones may get all the Monday morning glory but the success of Power just cannot be denied.
According to Deadline, Sunday night’s episode of the hit Starz’s drama racked up it’s fifth largest audience in the series four-year history snagging 1.9 million viewers. Not bad for a show competing in the same time slot as HBO’s massively popular series about dragons, zombies, and wolves.
Though some episodes of the Courtney Kemp series were leaked a week ago, it hasn’t deterred fans from keeping true to the show and waiting for Sunday night to pop some popcorn and witness what fate awaits some of their favorite characters.
That being said we hope that the season finale airing on September 3rd will continue to see the rise in viewership if only to prove that any attempts to hurt the series through leaks will prove futile.
