The murders of two of the most beloved rappers are still both unsolved but continue to be hot topics in mainstream media. Ice-T will host a new investigative special called Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? that is set to uncover new details about the crimes.
The two-hour broadcast will reportedly share new findings regarding these investigations. Featured in the program will be private detectives, former police officers, informants, Doug E. Fresh, Funkmaster Flex and Suge Knight. Lil’ Cease and E.D.I. Mean will also share the screen for the first time together to discuss Biggie and Pac’s friendship and later rivalry.
Additionally some never heard before audio of The Notorious B.I.G. discussing Pac’s shooting will be unveiled. The broadcast will be co-hosted by journalist Soledad O’Brien.
For years these high-profile crimes have been examined via documentary features. In 2018 USA Networks will take a different angle with a scripted crime drama series which is based off of retired Los Angeles officer Greg Kading’s work on Murder Rap.
Who Shot Biggie & Tupac? will premiere September 24 on FOX.
