A new leak on the heels of Apple’s Tuesday event shed light on what to expect from the tech giant. Not only will we be seeing THREE new iPhones, the 8, 8 Plus and mysterious iPhone X, we also learned that Apple TV 4K will have as much power as the iPad Pro.

According to details from a leaked version of the iOS 11 GM release, the newest version of Apple’s streaming box will get it’s power from a three-core A10X Fusion CPU.

The same chip that allows the latest iPad Pro do the wonderful things it’s capable of. On top of that Apple TV 4K will also have an amazing 3GB of RAM according to developer Steve Stroughton-Smith

With it’s new power, Apple TV 4K will be able to play 4K video and run it an astonishing 60 FPS (frames per second). This allows owners of the next iPhone to fully enjoy the videos recorded on their phones since they are expected to record at 4K/60FPS.

Also noted by Stroughton-Smith, Apple TV 4K will support Dolby Vision and HDR10 to help further enhance your television experience. With this news coming out, it would seem that Apple is looking to take television viewing/streaming to another level.

Most film and televisions in 4K run at 24FPS or 30FPS, so this new higher frame rate can enhance TV significantly in the coming years.

Good thing we only have to wait until…today…to find out if indeed if these rumors are true or not. Do these leaked details get you excited for the latest Apple TV set-top box?
