Young Dolph should recover fully after getting shot multiple times in Hollywood on Tuesday (Sept. 27). Also worth noting, his bitter rival Yo Gotti is no longer a suspect, but a member of his inner-circle has been arrested.
TMZ reports that Dolph was shot multiple times, including in the arm and butt. He underwent surgery and doctors say his injuries were not life-threatening.
Although initial reports said Gotti was a person of interest, XXL reached out to LAPD and was told that is not the case.
Police detained one suspect, Corey McClendon, 43, and he was then arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. However, the police are still looking for the other two men who were allegedly in the fight that led to Dolph’s shooting.
But the big detail here is that McClendon is a friend of Yo Gotti, per USA Today. Reportedly, he is being held on $1M bail.
McClendon, 43, is allegedly a known associate of Yo Gotti. Back in May, Blac Youngsta, another Yo Gotti associate, was charged with felony conspiracy after a van at the scene of Dolph’s now infamous CIAA shooting back in February was rented in his name.
The plot thickens.
