After taking heat for a “favoriting” a controversial tweet from conservative right-wing commentator Ann Coulter on her Twitter account, Sarah Palin is attempting to step out of the kitchen by declaring that she doesn’t even know how to perform the favorite function on her mobile device.

Palin recently appeared to “favorite” a Coulter tweet on her verified Twitter account that contained a photograph of a sign outside of a church that read,

“The blood of Jesus against Obama history made 4 Nov 2008 a Taliban Muslim illegally elected president USA: Hussein.”

The motion raised the ire of many Obama supporters. However, according to Palin, she did no such thing.

I’ve never purposefully ‘favorited’ any Tweet,” Palin wrote in an email to an ABC reporter on Friday. “I had to go back to my BlackBerry to even see if such a function was possible.”

The former Vice Presidential later candidate indicates it must have been an accidental push of the trackball saying,

“I was traveling to Alaska that day … it was an obvious accidental ‘favoriting.’ But no one can mistake that Ann Coulter was obviously being tongue in cheek with that Tweet.”

Following the controversy, Palin was back to tweeting last week. She did not mention the account mishap.
