Twista To Help The Needy On Thanksgiving

Guinness Book of World Record breaking emcee Twista has decided to give back this Thanksgiving Holiday by lending a hand to help hungry families have enough food for the Holiday.

Teaming up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Twista will volunteer to help serve fresh fruits and vegetables to his entire community as a part of the Producemobile program.

“It means a lot to me to be able to give back to the very place that has supported me and truly stuck by me all these years,” Twista said. It’s my duty and pleasure to feed the area that fed me.”

Last year, the Food Depository distributed 66 million pounds of nonperishable food and fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of 135,000 meals every day.

The Food Depository’s programs and services for children, older adults and the unemployed and underemployed address the root causes of hunger.  However the nonprofit organization always needs the help community leaders to maintain their outreach and Twista has made his commitment urging others to do the same.

In addition to helping feed needy families, Twista is gearing up to release a documentary about his life entitled, “Mr. Immortality” the life and times of Twista “through his newly launched film company Frame Surgeons; but it’s not all work, Twista recently announced that he has alos teamed up with J Bees to launch an exclusive shoe line.

The food mobile is scheduled to take place later today[November 23].
