High school senior Anthony Pennington was forced to watch from the stands after being banned from playing on his Missouri basketball team.
His coach Neil Hook didn’t approve of the dreadlock hairstyle, claiming it went against the team’s grooming policy.
“I don’t want to change a part of who I am to play 3-months of basketball,” said the starting forward.
Pennington is one of the many to catch heat from school officials for wearing dreadlocks.
A few months back a similar story arose where a Mississippi high school student was banned from the homecoming court.
