Mike Tyson Opens Up About Death Of His Daughter On Ellen

Mike Tyson recently sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to speak about his drug rehabilitation, his new show about pigeon races Taking On Tyson and the tragic loss of his 4-year-old daughter in 2009.

As previously reported, Mike’s daughter Exodus passed away due to an accident in the home involving a treadmill power cord.

The former heavyweight boxing champ recalled the moment in the hospital and what went through his mind as he arrived.

I was pretty outraged, torn apart. When I went to the hospital when she was on the machine, I was anticipating, because I was probably coming down from a hangover, but I’m anticipating that I’m going to go to the hospital and raise hell,” said Tyson.

Tyson went on to point out how other parents were in the hospital handling the news of their children dying with dignity. He did not want to react as if he were the “psycho parent” so he remained calm.

Mike also revealed to Ellen that he has been sober for two years and has become a vegan, no longer consuming animal products.

His new show, Taking On Tyson premieres Sunday on Animal Planet.

The show follows Mike and documents his quest to raise and race pigeons.
