Adele‘s 25 won the Grammy Award for Album Of The Year, but she reminded everyone what Beyonce’s Lemonade should have took home the prize.
Adele won the two biggest awards of the night, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. But in both of her acceptance speeches, she made sure the world knew who inspired her and who should have won at least one of them, Beyonce.
In her speech for the Album of the Year, Adele told the Recording Academy that she couldn’t possibly accept the award and turned her time on stage into a public show of support for Bey.
Adele continued her pro-Beyonce stance during her backstage interview where she asked “what the f*ck does Beyonce have to do to win Album of the Year?”
Beyonce’s younger, and more vocal, sister Solange also chimed in on the night’s events, tweeting out Frank Ocean’s essay about how the Grammy’s are culturally biased.
