Joyner says the perception that he was signed to Atlantic Records and was rich (he wasn’t) cost him a lot of relationships as people felt he should’ve financially helped them. Interestingly enough it wasn’t until he got off the label that he began to rake in paper and “became well off” and began to start helping his loved ones.
