Star Relaunches ‘Start Snitching’ Campaign In Violence Plagued City of Philly

Troi Torain, better known as Star of the Star & Buc Wild Morning show has never been one to hold his tongue or fear losing his street credibility.

The campaign he once ran back in 2002 in New York which he labeled “Start Snitching” is returning, but this time he is initiating the push in Philly where Star and Buc have their morning show.

Mayor Michael A. Nutter and Deputy Commissioner Richard J. Ross, Jr. of the Philadelphia Police Department both called into Star’s show at WPHI’s 100.3 The Beat to express their praise.

Star is encouraging citizens to offer information on any homicides in the city riddled with murders. Although the hip-hop community is totally against cooperating with authorities, maybe if more people speak up it won’t be so taboo.

“The ‘Start Snitching’ campaign is more than just words being spoken on the microphone,” says Star. “It’s a commitment I’ve taken on personally!”
