Sean “Diddy” Combs’ adopted son, Quincy, was set to appear on FOX drama Empire. However, Diddy pulled the plug when he got wind that getting cast on the show also meant giving up some of his music rights to 20th Century Fox TV.
Having already been renewed for a second season after the first two episodes, The Hollywood Reporter notes that FOX’s Empire is bringing in 15 million viewers per episode.
You gotta admit the acting on FOX’s Empire can be suspect—except for Taraji P. Henson, of course—but the over the top storyline is hella entertaining. The latest episode featured a drive by, Lucious continuing to act hard body with that soft ass voice and Cookie stealing every and any scene she is a part of.

The ratings are in for FOX’s new Hip-Hop drama Empire and it has everyone’s undivided attention. Including 50 Cent’s, who has openly blasted the show’s marketing techniques as he felt it likened to his similar-themed Starz series, Power.
So after much hype, Empire finally premiered on FOX last night (Jan. 7). While the pilot episode featured plenty of chatter about Terrence Howard’s conk and the firebrand that is Taraji P. Henson, is the show worth your time?
With the upcoming premiere of Fox’s Empire, 50 Cent suddenly has competition in the battle for fictional TV series’ based on dope dealers turned moguls. Fif was quick to point out how Empire takes a lot of its cues from the Starz series Power, on which 50 Cent serves as a co-producer.
50 Cent is claiming that Fox’s Hip-Hop inspired drama Empire is mimicking the advertising that Starz’s Power has already marketed.
