The coveted Celebrity 100 Forbes List is an event worth watching each time the finance publication employs its vast resources to tally up the world’s highest-paid celebrities across a variety of categories. On this year’s highest-paid Forbes List, several Hip-Hop stars show and prove that their pockets are quite straight for 2015.
For some Hip-Hop artists, making the Forbes list is quite the epic accomplishment and gives said act a ton of bragging rights. The finance publication is in the conversation once more after it announced the top five wealthiest Hip-Hop acts for 2015 with Sean “Diddy” Combs at the front of the list.

Forbes has pinpointed the new leader of Hip-Hop and she happens to be a “white blonde Australian woman,” who goes by the stage name of Iggy Azalea. The 23-year-old rapper is the game’s most exciting “new artist” who again, just so happens to be White.
The numbers are in, and a similar cast of characters appear on Forbes‘ 2014 list of Hip-Hop’s wealthiest artists. But at the top of the crop is Bad Boy mogul Sean “Diddy/Puff Daddy” Combs.
At the top of each year, it’s customary for Forbes to release their annual “30 Under 30” selection, which commemorates outstanding achievements by young gunners in a range of industries. On the musical front, 2013 rap darlings Drake (27) and Kendrick Lamar (26) made the 2014 list along with J. Cole (28) and Wiz Khalifa (26).
Sean “Diddy” Combs can pat himself on the back, because he’s reclaimed the top spot on Forbes‘ 2013 Hip Hop Cash Kings list. He literally cashed out with at whopping $50 million.
In what may end up becoming a familiar occurrence, Hip-Hop power pair Jay Z and Beyoncé get the top spot on Forbes‘ Highest-Earning Celebrity Couple list for the second year in a row. The husband and wife duo earned a combined $95 million between June 2012 and June 2013.
With a net worth that hovers around $500 million, Jay-Z is one of very few rap artists that can boast of untold riches while calling out false claims. To hammer the point home, a graphic chart featuring rappers and their cash-promoting rhymes highlights that some of them aren’t telling the truth about their earnings.
Michelle Obama is officially the fourth most powerful woman in the world, according to Forbes. The first lady landed on the publication’s annual “World’s Most Powerful Women” list, but fell short of first place which went to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
