Once again, a music project will release in accordance with HBO’s Game of Thrones, which is set to return with its fifth season on April 12.
HBO‘s Game Of Thrones is one of the cable network’s most popular shows, which wisely capitalized on that fame by releasing a well-received mixtape last year. A sequel to the Catch The Throne mixtape series has been announced today, featuring big names from Hip-Hop and Heavy Metal.
It wouldn’t have been shocking for HBO to recruit bands in the same vein of Godsmack or Avenged Sevenfold to represent their Game of Thrones inspired mixtape in the slightest.
The folks behind the Catch The Throne mixtape clearly care less about leaving any music to our imaginations prior to its March 11 release date. With Big Boi and Wale’s contributions circulating the Internets, the show continues with a track by Common called “The Ladder.”
Big Boi lead the charge with the first track from the Catch The Throne mixtape, which will accompany the fourth season premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones. A follow-up release from the project comes from Wale, titled “King Slayer.”
