Memphis Bleek wants in on that Verzuz smoke and he’s taken the challenge straight to the doorsteps of… Juelz Santana?!

While two of our greatest MC’s are not considering a Verzuz it continues to be a hot topic for fans. In a recent. interview Memphis Bleek says that Nas will not be able to compete with Jay-Z.

As streaming continues to dominate how folks are spending their time inside one Rap’s greatest minds is providing more reason to jump to his platform. Jay-Z has added more rare gems to his online service.

While we are several years past one of Hip-Hop’s most iconic wars it doesn’t hurt to reminisce. Memphis Bleek takes us back to when he made the beef between Roc-A-Fella Records and Nas official.

Jay Z famously rapped “Bleek could be one hit away his whole career/As long as I’m alive he’s a millionaire” on Kanye West’s “Diamonds From Sierra Leone (Remix).” Unfortunately, Memphis Bleek may not have made him aware of his financial difficulties since he recently filed for bankruptcy. 

Nipsey Hussle continues to bring heat via his Marathon Mondays series with his new track “Down As Great,” featuring Kirko Bangz.

Regardless of mainstream appeal, Memphis Bleek is still active. He stopped by The Breakfast Club to deliver much needed updates and answer some questions we have always wanted to know.

The fact of the matter is, Memphis Bleek has more hits than most here today, gone tomorrow rappers. But being Jay Z’s ace heaped insurmountable expectations on the Brooklyn rapper, and a lifetime of jokes (i.e. we couldn’t resist using that headline.)

Halley’s Comet, the cow jumping over the moon, all rarities (or fantasies) in the grand scheme of things. The same can be said about dope verses from rappers who lack in the lyricism department.

Memphis Bleek is officially a married man. On Saturday, Dec. 13, the Roc-a-fella rapper married Ashley Coombs in a ceremony that was attended by Jay Z (there are pics) and Beyonce, of course. 

With his GSNT3: The Troubled Times of Brian Carenard album on the way, Saigon debuts a collaborative track called “Mechanical Animals,” featuring Memphis Bleek, Lil Bibby, and Kool G Rap.
