XXL Freshmen

For many up and coming rappers, landing a slot on the coveted XXL Freshmen list can boost one’s career to major heights. However, Canadian rapper Nav took shots at the outlet’s editor-in-chief Vanessa Satten and called the website trash to boot.

Since 2008, XXL’s Freshmen list has sparked serious conversation amongst the Hip-Hop community, as well as being a springboard for some of today’s hottest rappers.

With Future’s album only 10 days away from release, he makes his television debut on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show. With the in-house band behind him, he performs his smash “Magic.” Pluto comes out April 17th. Check out the video after the jump.

XXL has released their annual ‘Freshman’ cover, this time with 11 of Hip-Hop’s up and coming stars. Included is  Big K.R.I.T, CyHi Da Prynce, Diggy, Lil B, Fred Da Godson, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Twist, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, Yelawolf and YG. The 4th annual issue will be released in April.
