Where Are You Yeezy? Kanye West Tries To Find Himself In India

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

I don't know about you but I feel like I saw this coming a mile away. Recently named one of MTV's “Hottest MCs in the Game”, Kanye West was also nominated for a whopping nine awards Saturday evening on October 10, but he did not show up to the 4th Annual BET Hip Hop Awards.

The word is after the Taylor Swift-gate Ye was going to take some time off. Then came news of Kayne backing out of the highly anticipated Fame Kills Tour with Lady Gaga and the never ending photo ops with Amber Rose.

Now Kayne is reportedly spending a month at a Hindu retreat in India. (more...)

Conservative Deems Obama Nobel Win “Affirmative Action”

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Denoting that “the damage was done” shortly after calling it a “disaster”, Fox News anchors and various right-wing pundits have been on full attack mode in response to President Obama's historic Nobel Peace Prize win.

Reviews of this great occasion have been mixed, with media outlets leaning to the conservative right in judgment of the decision by the Nobel Committee.

Eric Erickson of RedState.com is one of the aforementioned people.

In a statement exhibiting what has been uncovered to be the underlying mantra of many residing on the right-wing, Erickson revealed what he (and undoubtedly many others) believe is the actual reason for Obama winning the award, racial support.

“I did not realize the Nobel Peace Prize had an affirmative action quota for it, but that is the only thing I can think of for this news. There is no way Barack Obama earned it in the nominations period.”

Right-wingers are famous for their “personal” relationship with the President; whenever one wants to make a strong, “intelligent” notation, observation, or statement about the most powerful man in the world, they conveniently forget to add the title official title of “President” before Mr. Obama's name, usually opting for the more casual “Barack Obama” “Obama” or “Barack Hussein Obama” options.

Clearly Mr. Erickson prefers the first.

It is insane how the people that sat by and idly let former President Bush send the economy into a downward spiral, start several unsinkable wars against an ideology, all while extending the vast chasm that separates the rich and poor, choose to berate and discredit this man into failure.

The same people choosing to belittle the President forget that he was elected by an overwhelming majority of this nation‘s citizens; his plans represent the wants and goals of most Americans.

Those that choose to downplay the significance of President Obama's Nobel Prize should note that the award was given based on his commitment to “Change”, the same commitment that launched the Chicago community organizer into the most powerful position in the world.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee gave President Obama the Nobel Peace Prize for the sum work of what he has done for those that were in situations that needed to be improved, as well as, for the tasks that he has yet to finish for a nation in dire need of social, economic, and political resuscitation.

Representing the antithesis of the atrocity that was the Bush Years, the 44th President of the United States of America represents hope in a world rooted in chaos.

To go against him, and the rest of the country, with nimrod-based cries of “we want our country back”, “socialism”, “communism”, “death panels”, and all other right-wing familiar right-wing jargon is nothing les than un-American and un-patriotic.

The entire world realizes that. . .why can't these Limbaugh-Hannity-Boortz-Beck “new age” conservatives?

Idiots. . .
