Bill Cosby To Accept Humor Award

Cliff Huxtable,  b.k.a. Bill Cosby, is accepting an award past due for his comedic abilities. The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor will be presented to him for his successful endeavors in the world of comedy. The 72-year-old had been offered the award two times before but refused to accept it after hearing performers use the N-Word and profanity when it was awarded to Richard Pryor. Now Bill's finally accepted and will be honored today at the Kennedy Center in Washington by Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad and Chris Rock.

Cosby's been well known for his anti-profanity activism. As previously reported, he joined forces with clean Hip-Hop band, the Cosnarati Band, to promote a clean rap album through a virtual town hall meeting. The virtual town hall took place October 19 through Ustream. The Cosnarati Band's songs are available online on ITunes. Their CD, State of Emergency, hits stores November 24.

Big Snoop Dogg will be checking in with Hip-Hop Wired this week as he heads out on his “Wonderland High School” tour kicking off Tuesday in Baltimore, Maryland.

The tour is in preparation for the release of his 10th studio album, Malice N Wonderland, dropping December 8, 2009.

Memphis Bleek Delaying "The Process"

The long awaited return of rapper Memphis Bleek may have to wait a little longer as his upcoming album, The Process, has been pushed back to 2010.  Originally slated for November 24, the album is now set to drop in February.  The Process is truly a process.

Stating that he needs to really take his time with it to make a true return, the album has been promised for early 2010.

With Jay-Z on his side as executive producer, the project enlisted names such as Just Blaze, Rick Ross and No I.D. to join the ride.  Hopefully, the big homie won't be able to eclipse Bleek's work again like he did last time with (more...)

Rush Limbaugh's racist tirades have landed him in Hip-Hop's hot seat once again. As previously reported, Al Sharpton threatened to sue the shock jock after he accused the reverend of aiding in racially charged riots in the 90s. Also as aforementioned, Hov took shots at Rush and his Fox News crony, Bill O'Reilly in “Off That” from BluePrint III.

Now the West Coast's good doctor is making a statement against the man whose dreams of owning the St. Louis rams ultimately crashed and burned.

Jay-Z And Alicia Keys Performing At World Series

By the way things are shaping up, the year, or at least the close, may very well belong to Brooklyn's own son Jay-Z.  Being named number 1 by MTVs Hottest and dubbed the King of the Mountain in the rap game, Hov may have another reason to gloat.

With the playoffs coming to a close and the matchup set between the Yankees and the Phillies, there have been reports that Hovi will be opening up the festivities with Alicia Keys to perform “Empire State of Mind” at Game 1.
