50 Cent Set to Direct First Music Video For Tony Yayo

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

When a rapper has been in a career where he/she has taken direction from another fo so long, it is only a matter of time before they try and learn how to do for his/her own.

Rappers such as Kanye West and Dr. Dre have already had their hand in directing music videos as West worked on Drake's “Best I Ever Had” and Dre on Snoop Dogg's “Murder Was The Case”.  The next to step up to the plate and sit in the director's chair is G-Unit general Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

Fresh off the release of the digital album Gun Powder Guru, Tony Yayo is now dropping a remix sequel, which will be for free download, titled GP2: The Remixes and Jackson will be in charge of the visuals for (more...)

Oprah Settles Defamation Lawsuit For South African School

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Oprah Winfrey can breathe a little easier now that the defamation lawsuit pending against her has been settled.

As previously reported, the former headmistress of her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, Nomvuyo Mzamane, filed a lawsuit against her saying that she defamed her character.

After hearing about a sex abuse scandal at the school, Oprah was quoted saying that she “lost confidence” in Mzamane and was "cleaning house from top to bottom” at her academy.

According to Mzamane those remarks have since made it hard on her to find a job.

Lawyers for both parties released a statement Tuesday saying that Oprah and the former headmistress met to settle their differences.

A portion of the statement reads,

“The two parties met woman to woman without their lawyers and are happy that they could resolve this dispute peacefully to their mutual satisfaction."

No details on the settlement have been released.

The sex abuse case for the school is still pending.

UPDATE: Yukmouth's Chain Up For Sale

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

There must come a particular point in time when a person realizes that such childish acts are just that, and don't establish credibility in the street.

As reported earlier, Suge Knight, along with a group of men, allegedly assaulted and robber West Coast rapper Yukmouth and alleviated him of extra weight around his neck.

It seems that thugs are trying to get their eBay on now as a picture has been posted of Yukmouth's chain and they are in the process of looking for the largest bid for a potential sale.

The robbers, however, have stated that there is only one way for the rapper to get his chain back and not have to buy it back, but rapper 40 Glocc would have to come into the picture.

Slimmenace blood can get his chain back for free if @40glocc (more...)

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

The unsolved disappearance of five New Jersey boys more than 30 years ago has come to an end.

Police have Lee Evans and Philander Hampton in custody for the 1978  murders of 17-year-old Randy Johnson, 18-year-old Melvin Pittman, 18-year-old Ernest Taylor, 17-year-old Alvin Taylor and 17-year-old Michael McDowell.

According to investigators Lee Evans (Left) confessed to the crime to the brother of Ernest Taylor, Roger Taylor, 18 months ago.

Evans admitted to murdering the boys with Hampton by tying them up inside a building and setting it on fire, burning them alive. He says he and Hampton killed the boys after they suspected them of stealing marijuana.

Police never found the boy's remains and continued to consider it a missing person's case.

Evans was previously questioned by police but took a lie detector test and passed clearing his name from the case.

The suspects are being held on $5 million bail each.

SMH….it's a shame these men got away with this for this long.

Let's hope they enjoy the rest of  their lives  behind bars.

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Anyextee  If he gives us the money back..I'll terminate the contract and he is free to do.  Im not here to hold anyone down but I refuse to be ganked.

Apparently, Joell Ortiz is not the only member of Slaughterhouse that is dealing with record label issues as the issues between Joe Budden and his former stable, Amalgam Digital, is developing into a potential legal suit.

Budden has made the statement that he is no longer on the label, but it is becoming evident that Amalgam is seeing things different and stating that the rapper still owes what was required from his contract, including his third album The Great Escape.

Anyextee  He has not turned in Great Escape, he also owes one more album, and its his own fault why (more...)

Former Inmate Sentenced For Trying To Break Back Into Jail

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

A Florida man got his wish Monday after being sentenced to 15 years behind bars for trying to break back into jail after being released.

25-year-old Sylvester Jiles was originally sentenced to eight years of probation under a plea deal for manslaughter in the death of 19-year-old Devin Prouse.

Just three days after being released and after serving two years behind bars, police caught him trying to scale the barbed wire fences outside the Brevard County jail to return.

Jiles had previously told police that he feared for his life due to retaliation from the victim's family.

Instead of filing a police report however, he decided to take things into his own hands and come back to where he felt safe.

A jury sent him back to jail for an additional 15 years for violating his probation and resisting an officer.

SMH….hope he's happy.
