New Jersey Father Accused Of Raping Five Daughters, Impregnating Three

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

A New Jersey father is facing trial after prosecutors say he raped and beat five of his daughters for years, leaving three of them pregnant with his children.

Aswad Ayinde will stand trial five times, once for each daughter police he say raped, beat and sometimes impregnated.

According to the Associated Press, the ex-wife of the 51-year-old man appeared in court and testified against him in a pre-trial saying that he wanted to create "pure" family bloodlines by impregnating several of his teenage daughters.
"He said the world was going to end and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen."

Prosecutors say the man beat the girls who were isolated from the outside world and home schooled, with wooden boards and steel-toed boots.

The three daughters he impregnated gave birth to a total of six children.

The AP also reports that the mother testified in court that some of the babies were delivered at home and never received birth certificates. She also said there were at least two instances where the babies who died in the home were buried without authorities being notified.

When asked why she didn't try to stop him, the wife said,

“I was afraid to ever accuse him of being demented, or being a pedophile. I knew the word but I wouldn't dare use it because it would result in a beating.”

Ayinde faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.

He was originally arrested in 2006 for the crimes.

The first trial for the man is scheduled to begin in April.

Black Panther Charles Barron Invades New York City Council

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

The question is not to be or not to be, it's “The Ballot or the Bullet?” And the answer played out in FBI backed assassinations, brazen bank heists and Panther politics.

One of the things that led to the decline of the original Black Panther Party are some ideas associated with a Huey P. Newton associated concept known as “Survival Pending Revolution.” That working within the framework of capitalist society was a necessary evil until that society could be overthrown.

While the Black Panthers originally embraced armed struggle as a means of liberation for the oppressed in America, in the early 70's, the party embraced electoral politics as part of the Survival Pending Revolution way of thinking.

Former Detroit Council Woman Sentenced To Three Years In Prison For Bribery

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Former Detroit council woman and wife to Representative John Conyers, Monica Conyers, has been sentenced to three years behind bars for bribery.

The latest person taken to trial for a Detroit corruption scandal wanted an appeal to have her previous guilty plea revoked after she says she was “badgered” to admit her wrongdoing.

Prosecutors say Conyers and her former aide took bribes to support a company's contract with the city worth $47 million a year.

She was previously tried for the case in June and pled guilty.

A federal judge reviewed the case Wednesday and dismissed her appeal however, sealing her fate in jail.

When prison officials attempted to escort Conyers out of the court room, reports say that she was heard yelling that she planned to appeal again.

Prosecutors say Conyers and her aid collected $69,500 in total from the under the table deals.

She could have been sentenced to up to five years in prison.
