Former NBA player and top 10 draft pick Lorenzen Wright has reportedly gone missing and the family is asking for help.

According to Tennessee police, Wright was reported missing in Collierville, Tenn., on Thursday after the family told police they haven’t seen the 6-foot-11 Wright since Sunday (July 18).

Authorities state that the last time Wright was seen, he was spending time with his kids. After he left, the family states that they have not heard from him at all since then, which they state is not in his character.

Although Wright has not contacted his family, police do not suspect foul play but agree that it is out of character. It is reported that Wright was at his ex-wife’s house in Collierville the night of July 18.

“There’s just no information to make us draw that conclusion,” Lt. Norm Dixon of the Collierville police said. “The whole thing is not like him, all of his friends said he’s never done anything like this.”

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that Wright apparently left while his ex-wife was asleep around 2 a.m. Police assume he was picked up by someone because his cars are still in the exact same spot he left them for the past week.

Savia Archie, Wright’s sister, told the Commercial Appeal that Wright was seen the following morning at a Memphis barbershop.

“There is nothing on his phone records, no bank transactions, his vehicles are still at his house in Smyrna,” Dixon said. “It’s like he literally dropped off the face of the earth.”

Police may not suspect foul play, but according to Archie the family does.

“If he did go somewhere, someone could get in touch with him,” Archie told the newspaper. “No one can.”

The 6-11 Wright starred at the University of Memphis before being drafted No. 7 overall in 1996 by the L.A. Clippers. He played for the Hawks from 1999-2001, spent the next five seasons with Memphis, and returned to Atlanta for two more years in 2006-08. He last played for Cleveland in 2008-09.

His transition from being out of the league didn’t appear to be smooth.  According to published reports, Wright’s house was foreclosed in May and purchased by Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis.
