Usher Joins New Agency

According to reports, Usher Raymond has found a new talent agency.

After years with longtime agent Mark Cheatham and the Creative Artists Agency, the R&B superstar ditched the Beverly Hills-based firm, who also rep clients Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith and Brad Pitt, for the William Morris Agency.

According to previous reports, Usher’s new girlfriend and now co-manager, Grace Miguel, had been urging him to fired his entire team, including stylists, choreographers and tour managers.

Now, with news of the 32-year-old singer finding new agency representation, there seems to be truth to those previous rumors.

This isn’t the first time Usher has taken the business advice of his love interest. In 2007, he fired his mother Jonetta Patton as his manager due to her issues with his stylist/ex-wife Tameka Foster.

The 43-year-old Miguel, a former Def Jam executive, is said to have total control of the seven-time Grammy winner.

Is Usher allowing his love life to interfere with his business?
