MLK's Daughter Bernice King Leaves Eddie Long's Church

Bernice King Departs Eddie Long Church

Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter Bernice King will no longer serve as an elder at Bishop Eddie Long's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

According to WSB-TV Atlanta, Bernice King's last day at Long's Lithonia, GA church was this past Sunday.

Reports state that King's exit was previously planned, and is not relate to the sex scandal and settlement surrounding Bishop Long (but you shouldn't believe everything you read).

Rev. King is scheduled to make an announcement about her departure and discuss her future plans as a guest on Priase 102.5 today at 4 p.m.

Just last week, the sexual misconduct case against Bishop Eddie Long was dismissed after a settle between Long and his accusers was reached.

I don't see any other choice you could make at this point after all that has been said and done. This man Deceived alot of people and now he must pay the price. I'm sure he has been forgiven by many but it doesn't mean you liked what he did. I think he has alot more to be sorry for because you are suppose to be a Man of God and therefore you are suppose to have a whole different Demeanor about a whole lot of things and I'm saddened by this. You do not Settle for nothing, you Don't pay unless you have done something out of line enough to where you have to pay for your mistakes.
