Jim Jones started this week the same way he ended his last week; by getting arrested. The Diplomat was busted for the second time in three days, only this time around it was for driving on a suspended license.

According to TMZ, Jones was pulled over early Monday (Feb. 27) in Manhattan. While original reports stated that he was driving, Jones refuted the story, maintaining that he actually started out as the passenger in the car. “Jim does not have a suspended license,” his rep said.

Jones claims to have been waiting in the car while his driver stopped at a store. He then said that police approached him and instructed that he move the vehicle. While doing so, he was pulled over yet again, and found to be driving illegally. Jones was briefly taken into custody by “very cool and respectable” officers, and is assured that—due to a computer glitch showing that his license was suspended—the case will get “thrown out.”

Unfortunately, Jimmy’s run-in with the law over the weekend was far more embarrassing. As previously reported, Jones was busted for fighting at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. The melee resulted in the Harlem native being maced and subdued by five police officers before being taken into custody.

Based on the last few days alone, he may want to stay in the house for a while.
