Roc-A-Fella Co-Founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke Sentenced To 5-Year Prison Term

The post-Roc-a-Fella curse continues. The Roc co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke has been sentenced to five years in prison for conspiring to distribute over 100 kilos of weed, reports the New York Daily News.

In March, Burke, who founded Roc-a-Fella with Jay-Z and Dame Dash in 1996, plead guilty to the charges against him, with sentencing originally scheduled for for May 18th. About two years ago, the former music exec got busted as part of an extensive investigation by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement ) and the DEA into drug trafficking that spanned the east coast called “Operation Green Venom.”

As part of his plea deal, Burke was forced to surrender surrender $660,000, his home in North Bergen, N.J., and a 2010 BMW. The Daily News reports that the 38 year-old told the judge she would never be seeing him again. “Nothing personal, but I’m going to keep you to that promise,” replied Manhattan Federal Court Judge Loretta Swain.
