Nicki Minaj is easily one of the most loved (those “Barbies” are an army) and hated (see the comments on any Nicki Minaj story) artists in Hip-Hop, easy. The YMCMB rapper/singer is retrofitting the album she dropped earlier this year into Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, and here is a new song from the project titled “Freedom.”

The song is an introspective cut that finds the American Idol judge thanking those who helped her become a Pop star but also pounding her chest and throwing barbs (no pun) at anyone, real or imagined, that tried to impede her shine. She calls her career the “Pinkprint” and is singing on the chorus of this lush, Boi-1da produced track.

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up is in stores November 19th. Listen to “Freedom” below and if you like, you can cop it off iTunes.

Also, Minaj has been overseas and you can peep her bugged out interview on Alan Carr: Chatty Man on the next page. Let us know what you think of “Freedom” in the comments.
