While many people believe that braids are a thing of the past, Pusha T remains one of the last of the Mohicans.

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper released Wrath Of Caine last week and stopped to chat with Hip-Hop Wired during his media blitz in New York. While many believe Push A Ton is holding on for dear life, the rapper reveals that he’s not nearly attached to his locks as you think.

The rapper who once revealed that “the power is in my hair, ni**a,” spoke to Hip-Hop Wired and said he’d cut his hair with no problem.

“If I lost a bet, I could and be happy. Like I wouldn’t care. I feel like, man, when you create the mold it is up to you to break the mold,” Pusha says about his hair. “People think I’m attached because you got guys like Charlamagne [Of The Breakfast Club] and all that that make these crazy a** statements. I’m going to incorporate him though. I’m going to make sure he’s involved if ever that day comes.”

We then through the gauntlet down about actually challenging Charlamagne to a bet where he would cut his hair. However, Pusha would want something equal in return.

“What’s he going to do? He doesn’t even have pores! He can’t even grow hair, he can’t grow a ‘fro! Or maybe that can be the bet. See I don’t know how is hair grows back, if he has the half moon joint…I don’t know?”

Will Charlamagne and Pusha accept the challenge? We’ll find out. Check out the full interview after the jump.
