Mack Maine Says Lil Wayne Is Not In A Coma, Refutes TMZ Report
UPDATE (9:30 p.m.): Weezy, we think, just tweeted this message: "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."
It's TMZ vs. YMCMB as Mack Maine insists that reports of Lil Wayne being on the brink of death are grossly exaggerated. The president of the Young Money label took to Twitter to update on Weezy's condition while questioning TMZ's sources.
About an hour ago, TMZ broke the news that the "No Worries" rapper suffered another seizure, so severe that he was placed into a medically induced coma and was using a machine to breathe. However, Maine insists that is not the case.
"Wayne is alive and well! We watching the Syracuse game...thanks for the prayers and concern..he will update you all soon. #love,” tweeted Maine. “We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!”
Cash Money Records found Bryan “Birdman” Williams echoed Maine's assertions. “My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon.YMCMB,” tweeted Tunechi's "daddy."
Nevertheless, TMZ is holding fast to its claims, or at least continuing to report on the story. The site just relayed that Lil Wayne's mom is on a flight to Los Angeles to be by her son's side.
"Lil Wayne's mother is currently on a plane flying to Los Angeles," says TMZ. "All major decisions about Wayne's health will not be made until she arrives."
Nevertheless, Lil Wayne is in the hospital. If Maine's assertions are true, we sincerely wish Wayne a speedy recovery and that he slow down this reckless lifestyle that is clearly breaking his body down.
