People went ballistic when official word got out that Outkast is headlining Coachella 2014. But that's just the beginning, as the funky duo will also headline Governor's Ball in New York City this summer.
Rolling Stone confirmed the news with a rep for the three day event. That said, Governor's Ball will be André 3000 and Big Boi's first time performing together in the Big Apple in a decade.
The minds behind the fest have a lot more up their sleeves, too, as they'll unveil full lineup, which features over 80 artists, using their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages in the days to come. So far, a pair of clues have been given. One was an image of the white noise on a television, while the other shows a familiar picture of deceased MCs Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. together.
Governor's Ball takes place June 6-8 at New York City's Randall's Island Park. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. We suggest that those in the NYC area who won't be attending Coachella stay woke and pony up the funds to see Outkast and more.
It's also worth noting that the second Outkast reunion comes a year after Kanye West premiered songs from Yeezus at Governor's Ball 2013.
