Another successful Governors Ball went down in NYC over the weekend with headlong performances from the likes of Drake, a Rae Sremmurd member having a horrendous accident and fans having a great time. Samsung made its presence felt all weekend and copped the festivities off with an exclusive party on Sunday night (June 7).
This past weekend, Drake had himself an incredible Governor’s Ball but Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jimmy did not. While unlocking the swag during his set, the wild boy slipped on a speaker, destroying his knee this side of Kyrie Irving and had to have emergency surgery.
Drake was the headliner for Friday night (June 5) of Governors Ball 2015 and he killed the stage. The capacity crowd hung on to every word and lyric from Drizzy as he ran through his catalog of hits.
Drake is going to be busy this year. In addition to headlining Coachella, the Toronto rapper will be headlining Governors Ball 2015 in New York City.
Upon further review, it appears that Hip-Hop Wired’s André 3000 sighting at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival was just one of many. Instagram users actually flooded the social media site with photos of the often reclusive MC in an array of scenarios.
