Once a boxer, always a boxer. It seems that motto has never left Floyd Mayweather Sr. as he got into a brief scuffle with fellow trainer and boxing father Ruben Guerrero.

For the last year Floyd Mayweather Sr. has exchanged harsh words with Robert Guerrero’s father and trainer, Ruben. Their sons finally faced off in the ring on May 4th 2013 with Mayweather Jr. winning a unanimous decision over Guerrero.

Even though the bout is long gone into the record books, the dads still had visible tension when they both appeared at Buca Di Beppo in Las Vegas for a recent reality show taping for the Knockout Channel.

Mayweather Sr, Ruben Guerrero and Yoel Judah, Zab Judah’s father, were all playing nice for a photo opportunity then things went wrong. Guerrero posed playfully with his fist very close to Mayweather Sr.’s face which he naturally took objection to.

The two fathers then challenged each other to take the first shot which is never a good idea. This resulted in both men taking a couple of swipes before they were separated.

These two are well into their 50’s so we can only hope they will steer that aggression to their training. You can view the video of the attempted fade deliveries on the flip.
