New York City births raw, lyrical MCs, and proof can be heard in 24-year-old newcomer Your Old Droog. Today, the Coney Island native formally introduced himself to the masses via a self-titled EP.

This is that, “I’ve ran up in a guy’s grandmother’s crib with the tool for less,” music. And that’s a testament to the project’s overall grittiness and nostalgic sound. It sounds like an audible jux. It’s also clear that Droog is a student of early 90’s Hip-Hop, but not in the way that, say, Pro Era present their material.

Clocking in at 10 tracks in total, this body of work is the natural progression of the lyricist’s lead single, “Nutty Bars.”

We suggest that listeners hop on this gravy train early. Stream and download the Your Old Droog EP below.
