Lil Wayne’s Carter V album is still on ice but the Free Weezy album appears to be fair game. In case you were wondering whether or not the ridiculous fiasco with Young Thug took its toll on the Young Money head honcho’s skills, along “Glory” to erase your mind of any doubt. Over a five-minute harmonious blend of hallelujah and sparse hand claps provided by Avenue Beatz, Infamous and Onhel, Wayne readies his usual arsenal of punchline heavy bars and connects on nearly all of them.

“Woo, this that sh*t you didn’t want me on/My weed louder than underarms and car alarms/Cheers, I said, ‘Surprise’, but couldn’t party long/I got to get back to the grind and the drawin’ board/But all this f*****g art destroyed, this the art of war/These n****s soft as teddy bears, time to Marky Mark/I wet your block, leave it a waterpark, broad or dark

I whip the work like tartar sauce, you want it hard or raw, huh?”

Why yes, Weezy. This is exactly the type of “sh*t we want you on.” Pure flames.

Weezy linked with TIDAL for the release and while he wasn’t at the infamous Grand Opening, he still expressed why he feels the move was the right one saying, “TIDAL is a great way to share music directly with fans. I’m hyped for people to hear my latest track and can’t wait to show fans love through a special TIDAL X.”

Click here to listen to “Glory.” You’ll have to sign up to hear it in full, though.
