As we previously reported, Colin Kaepernick placed himself in the crosshairs of racists and alleged patriots when he refused to stand during the singing of the national anthem at a preseason game. However, the #ISupportKaepernickBecause hashtag is being used to let people know there is plenty of support for “woke” QB.

Whether you agree with his decision not to stand during the anthem or not, the reason behind his protest should not be dismissed. Kaepernick is sick of reading hashtagged names of the latest Black victims of police brutality, and seeing the officers that did often keep their jobs and their paychecks.

“There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder,” said Kaepernick. If you’re mad at him for saying the flag represent “oppression,” are you mad about police brutality, too?

Let’s see which pro athletes are brave enough to take a stand.

Peep the most poignant of the #ISupportKaepernickBecause tweet below and on the following pages. The trolls are using it too, but don’t let them prosper.
