Yung Joc became Atlanta’s newest radio personality earlier this week on Streetz 94.5.

The move comes very unexpectedly. For the last two years, Streetz 94.5 FM broadcasted The Breakfast Club on syndication. But this past Monday morning, people on their way to work were surprised to hear Yung Joc and co-host Mo Quick instead of Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy.

The change-up has confused some listeners but they should get used to it after a while as they can expect more local talk. Listeners were initially upset when the station decided to start airing The Breakfast Club instead of popular Atlanta radio personality Rashan Ali’s show two years ago, citing the loss of a voice from their city was being replaced by a national one.

So far Joc has been easing into the new gig with plenty to talk about. In just the last two days we’ve seen Waka Flocka say “Obama don’t count” as the first Black president and Lil Wayne wonder out loud what #BlackLivesMatter meant. Add that to his own life that includes a role on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, appearances on Judge Faith and that hairdo of his, there should be more than enough to discuss on a daily basis.

If you’re in Atlanta, Joc’s new show can be heard from 6am-10am. Make sure you get some rest after you hit the club before you listen though.
