Amanda Seales of HBO’s Insecure got the most out of her seat at the table during Katy Perry‘s “Friends and Family: Dinner With Discourse” this past weekend.

Seales was a guest alongside people like Margaret Cho, Van Jones, Sally Kohn and Caitlyn Jenner. Of course, with so many strong personalities at the table, something was bound to pop off. That moment occurred when Jenner suggested that America was a great place that she loved. Seales took objection and shared why she couldn’t wholeheartedly agree. Seales shared a video that picked up after it appeared that Jenner called her “hostile.”

“The reason I am so passionate — and I’m not hostile, I’m passionate — the reason I am so passionate is because I’ve had such a different experience in this country than you,” Seales told Jenner. “Because as a black woman, the government is so much in my life, and it always has been. The government literally said that black men could not even be in the house or else women couldn’t get welfare. That’s a big reason why there’s such a chasm between black women and black men in this generation.”

Seales took it back to her “diva” days with that one. Be sure to check her out in the new season of HBO’s Insecure which starts this July.
