When you think of Hip-Hop, you automatically think of the big homie, Van Jones, right? Well, if you aren’t doing that just yet, the CNN commentator has plans to change that perception.
Page Six reports:
“I do feel like I am bringing hip-hop to the news — I am the one that said about Trump, ‘He lied about the lies that he lied about’ — ain’t nobody quoting LL Cool J on the news but me,” he told us after winning a Webby Award on Monday.
“I have been consistently trying to bring geek culture, comic-book and hip-hop culture to the news. I do a lot of stuff that you can recognize from hip-hop on the news.”
Jones, 48, is the host of CNN’s The Messy Truth and a longtime contributor to the network.
