EarthGang, the Atlanta duo of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, has been making solid moves since releasing their first EP in 2010. Their hard work and hustle paid off, and now the MCs are officially part of J. Cole‘s Dreamville Records family.

EartthGang, who just dropped its latest EP Rags today, were guests on Shade 45’s Showoff Radio show with DJ Statik Selektah Thursday night where they slyly announced their new alignment with Dreamville along with running some tracks from Rags.

Fans of the pair might have seen the Dreamville nod coming after the collective they belong too, Spillage Village, featured J. Cole on a track from their 2016 EP, Bears Like This Too Much. Spillage Village member J.I.D. is a member of Spillage Village as well, which is also the name of EarthGang’s personal label.

Yesterday, Dreamville unleashed a video of J. Cole showering the group with praise back in 2015, offering a retrospective of how the organic connection came to be. You can watch the clip below and then head over to iTunes to cop the five-track EP here, which features J.I.D., Childish Major, and Mick Jenkins.
